Supermarkets and 24-hour shops targeted by thieves: the hunt for the gang in the Irno Valley is on

Sole365 targeted by thieves in the Irno Valley. In Baronissi alone, there have been two raids in the space of a few weeks. The last one, which was unsuccessful, dates back to the night between Thursday and yesterday, when a large group of criminals attempted to carry out a robbery at the supermarket located at the end of Corso Garibaldi. At least seven people are said to have taken action, as reconstructed by the police who are trying to trace the identity of those responsible.
The fact is that it was around 3 in the morning when the group of criminals launched their attack. Armed with burglary tools, they tried to break into the shutter to get inside the supermarket and then make a killing. But things didn’t go as they had planned: the alarm didn’t sound but the noises attracted the attention of some residents who witnessed the scene.
Feeling cornered and perhaps fearing to end up in the net of the police, the thieves finally decided to give up and leave. They disappeared on board a couple of cars. In short, the theft remained only in intentions and there is only the damage caused to the shutter to deal with. The Carabinieri of the Baronissi station, under the command of Captain Alberto Colella, and coordinated by Major Carlo Santarpia of the Mercato San Severino Company, conducted the necessary investigations on site. The images from the video surveillance are also being examined to obtain elements useful for the investigation.
