TOPick recently reviewed the common paper-packaged drinks on the market and compiled a list of 27 “non-high sugar” products.
According to the Centre for Food Safety, the definitions of “high sugar”, “low sugar” and “sugar free” in liquid food are as follows:
High sugar:Over 7.5g sugar per 100ml
Low sugar:No more than 5g sugar per 100ml
Sugar Free:No more than 0.5g sugar per 100ml
TOPick checked the nutrition labels of 43 paper-packaged drinks on the market and compared their sugar content, and found that 27 drinks contained no more than 7.5 grams of sugar per 100 ml, and some of the drinks were low-sugar or sugar-free.
