What would European football be like for the next 25 years if the European Super League came into being? A player from Football Manager 2021 has simulated the following quarter of a century without Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City, Liverpool, Inter de Milan, Milan and Juventus to determine a plausible future according to the algorithms of the popular sports management video game.
The apparently frustrated plan promoted by Andrea Agnelli and Florentino Pérez, among other presidents of the clubs of the old continent, has put on the table a plan that would change the beautiful game as we know it, also shelving a UEFA Champions League whose hymn would never sound the same again. After the resignation of ten of the twelve founding clubs, it seems that the initiative is on hiatus, but what does the benchmark simulator in the interactive entertainment sector have to say about it?

Superliga, a Champions League without Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético, Juventus, Manchester …?
FlyingPingoo, nickname of this user, has been preceded as follows. After finishing the 2021/21 league, has dropped to the second division (or the equivalent category in other countries) to teams such as big-six British —Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City, Liverpool—, the big three from LaLiga and the aforementioned from the Italian Serie A; in addition, has left them in the economic queen so that there was not the slightest chance that they would qualify for the UEFA Champions League and turned all their star players into free agents.
The result is surprising, including the future of those who are surely the two most influential players in the football universe in recent decades, Lionel Messi Y Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi at PSG and coach of Cádiz; Cristiano Ronaldo, in the grassroots football of Roma
In this way, clubs like PSG were able to take over Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) after the relegation of the Blaugrana without too much problem. Once his boots were hung up, the Argentine star would train Cádiz and Huesca at a rate of 6,000 euros a week. Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, would complete his sports career in clubs such as Chinese Shenzhen and Wolverhampton, where he would say goodbye to the pitch. Italian Roma would be his destination to train grassroots football from 2032 for 17,000 euros a week.

UEFA Champions League from 2020 to 2045: Real Sociedad lift The Orejona
Although FlyingPingoo has not broken down LaLiga’s results in all these years, in the Premier League the Southampton Football Club would be the main champion of the English league. The team of The Saints would win 15 of the next leagues, assuming the big-six be relegated from the top national competition; but the interesting thing comes from the hand of the continental competition. Not content with winning the Copa del Rey 2020, Real Sociedad would win the 2041 UEFA Champions League. The Txuri-urdines would raise the name of Zubieta to the top after winning in the final, precisely, Southampton; also redeeming the new reality of Spanish football after the defeat of Sevilla in 2037/38 against Paris Saint Germain. The French would accumulate, according to Football Manager 2021, a total of 6 Champions in the next 25 years; other 8 for him Borussia Dortmund and others 8 for him FC Bayern Munich, which would add 14 UEFA Champions League, surpassing the 13 victories of Real Madrid CF until its goodbye in 2021 to enter the Superliga.
All of this is, first and foremost, a simulation. Reality, not in vain, leaves us with a project of which – for now – only Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are still formally registered.
