Superlative season! Liverpool can still break these 4 records

After 30 years of waiting, Liverpool FC won their 19th Premier League championship.

But that’s not all: The team of master maker Jürgen Klopp could break four records this season and write the dream story a little further.

Most points in one season

The Manchester City point record from the 2017/2018 season could soon fall. In their master season two years ago, the “Citizens” scored exactly 100 points from 38 games. Liverpool are seven laps to go at 86 points and could therefore get 107 points with a perfect result.

Most wins in one season

So far, rival Manchester City has held the Premier League record with 32 wins from 38 season games. Liverpool have 28 wins after the 4-0 gala against Crystal Palace and could top this record in the last seven games.

Most home wins in one season

No team has won all 19 home games of a season in the Premier League. So far, three teams have celebrated 18 home wins in the history of the league. Chelsea (2005/06), Manchester United (2010/11) and Manchester City (2011/12 and 2018/19).

So far, the “Reds” have won all 16 games at Anfield and should have won the three remaining duels against Aston Villa, Burnley and Chelsea.

Greatest lead of a master

Liverpool currently have a 23-point lead over “chasers” Manchester City and have virtually broken this record. Because the biggest advance of a champion over the runner-up dates from the 2017/18 season when Manchester City crossed the finish line with 19 points ahead of Liverpool.

On the next matchday (Thursday at 9:15 p.m. live on Sky) the LFC could even extend the lead over City to 26 points in a direct duel and thus come a big step closer to this record.
