Superior Health Council recommends extra jab for those who received Johnson & Johnson vaccine

Those who have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca may also receive a booster shot in the future, but at the moment, according to the Superior Health Council, there is not yet enough scientific evidence that that extra dose is really necessary. The protection of two doses of AstraZeneca vaccine against the coronavirus does weaken over time, but so do the vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna. That is why the Superior Health Council wants to immediately examine in a few weeks whether a generalized extra shot is needed for all vaccines, and therefore for the entire population.
