Superheroes in the hospital: between joy and emotion

Tarbes will have had an original and spectacular Mardi Gras at the hospital centre. Between reality and fiction, Black Spiderman, Thanos and Harley Quinn landed at the foot of the pediatric service to take hostage three real police officers from the Tarbes police station. Rising from the 6th floor, four superheroes abseiled down the facade in their original costumes: Spiderman, Batman, Deadpool and Captain America. The good guys ended up fighting the bad guys and freeing our precious police officers. A highly appreciated animation in the ranks of the 700 spectators who included largely disguised toddlers, children in chronic care at the hospital, alongside the director Christophe Bouriat and the chairman of the Supervisory Board Gérard Trémège. Everyone was amazed by this unprecedented spectacle in the region.

And beyond this happy scenario where the good guys and the bad guys made up, the real happy ending was played out inside the hospital. “We went to see the kids in the pediatric emergency room to take photos that we printed and put in a frame as a souvenir,” explains Florian, the co-founder of the Montpellier association ”superherosgrandcoeur”. Followed by two Transformers (2.50m and 3m robots), the superheroes went to the pediatric ward for a group photo. This festive afternoon ended with a musical snack.

This set of animations aimed to “de-dramatize the image of the hospital and offer an enchanted parenthesis to hospitalized children”. And seeing the children’s eyes sparkle, even under their make-up, was an immense satisfaction for the organizers, Floriane and Julie. “These are two great girls, I thank them” confided to us moved the mother of Timéo, Sandrine Bégué. “And I thank Timéo because without him there would not have been all of this”.
