The new series, set in the same time period as the original series, will feature the character Tek Knight from The Boys comics, played by actor Derek Wilson.

What is known:

A new character from The Boys comics has been confirmed for the upcoming Gen V spin-off.

Set in Prime Video’s The Boys universe, the series follows a group of students at Godolkin Super Hero University as they uncover a Vought-related conspiracy within the university. The spin-off will also feature familiar characters such as Ashley Barrett and Victoria Neuman. Now Entertainment Weekly confirms that superhero Tek Knight from The Boys comics will make his screen debut in Gen V.

The first look at Wilson in the role was also revealed:

What do we know about Tek Knight?

In The Boys comics, Tek Knight serves as a parody of the characters Iron Man and Batman, as he is a wealthy superhero who uses expensive equipment to complete his missions. Unlike other Superheroes, Tek Knight does not have superpowers, meaning he has never used Compound V like other heroes associated with Vought.

The comics also reveal that Tek Knight is a member of Team Payback, although the television adaptation does not confirm this. It was initially believed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan would play the character in the fourth season of The Boys, given how secret the actor’s role on the series has been until now. But Wilson’s casting finally reveals who will fill the role of Tek Knight, leaving the question of Morgan’s role.

It is not yet clear what role Tek Knight will play in Gen V and how he will be connected to the mysterious experiments Godolkin is conducting on some students. However, in the comics, Tek Knight previously attended university, making his first appearance in the spin-off series appropriate. Let’s see how important Tek Knight’s character becomes in Gen V and how this might affect the events of The Boys Season 4.
