‘Supergirl’ fans are not happy with approaching end

Supergirl fans make themselves heard on social media. We list some reactions!

Earlier this week, it appeared that The CW pulled the plug Supergirl pulls. The upcoming sixth season will have 20 episodes and will be the last of the series.

This brings the series to an end for a second time. This time, however, definitely. The series aired on CBS in 2015, where the show did not attract enough viewers to justify the expensive air time. The series was then transferred to The CW, where it initially existed relatively separate from the Arrowverse. However, things were soon merged and the series around Supergirl also took place in the Arrowverse.

The curtain falls

But after six seasons and more than a hundred episodes, the curtain falls for the series. Fans of Supergirl are certainly not happy with that, and they let it know on social media.

Unfortunately, however, the ratings have dropped significantly since the series began. On CBS – traditionally a broadcaster with a wide range – the show attracted an average of 9.81 million viewers. The second season there were 3.12 million left, and the fifth season drew an average of only 1.58 million in the US.
