General repair shops are often the choice of vehicle owners who are no longer covered by warranty. This apparently does not only apply to general cars, but also to super car owners.

Actually, this Supercar ID workshop started its business in the Ceger area, East Jakarta. At that time, Resha was accompanied by 4 mechanics and a year later they moved to Jalan WR Supratman No. 68, South Tangerang.

“At that time I only had 4 mechanics. Now there are 12 mechanics, because we have opened it to non-supercar cars. That’s why we need more man power,” said Resha when met by detikOto.
Long before building a specialist supercar repair shop, Resha interestingly had no interest in the automotive world. However, at that time, the family’s economic conditions forced him to get involved in this scene.
“So at first I was in high school, actually I wasn’t interested at all in the automotive world, because I didn’t enter from STM or Vocational School but I came from high school. Then I wanted to continue college, coincidentally at that time the family’s financial condition was not good. My father “I went bankrupt in 98, at that time I graduated from high school in 98. Finally I had to learn to find a place to go to college or a free course,” said Resha.
Resha, who at that time was busy looking for opportunities to go to school, opened a newspaper and found an advertisement for the Mercedes-Benz Training Center. The German company is apparently looking for mechanics to take courses for free and will be immediately invited to work.
“Only the course is limited because it is a subsidy from Germany. So only 24 people were accepted into the school per class, whereas there were more than 1,000 people who registered at that time, in my era,” explained Resha.
“So that was the opportunity, at that time I was also a bit pessimistic. But yes, I was going to try it because in a difficult situation, I tried to change gears because previously I was not at all interested in automotives,” he continued.
Finally, Resha Ahadiat took the test, was accepted, and successfully graduated from the Mercedes-Benz Training Center program. Resha was then assigned to become a mechanic at a Mercedes-Benz dealer for one year.

His expertise as a premium car doctor made his name famous. Resha then moved to one of the General Importer workshops which at that time was claimed to be the only dealer specializing in CBU cars in Indonesia. Six years of work, Resha was then trusted to become a Lamborghini mechanic.
“Then Lamborgini Jakarta opened its first Lamborghini dealer in 2008. So then I was recruited by Lamborghini Jakarta. So while at Lamborghini Jakarta, every year we trained at a factory in Italy. Until 2018 I worked at Lamborghini Jakarta,” said Resha.
Armed with experience and education in Europe, Resha finally had the courage to open her own workshop that specialized in handling super cars.
“At first I only accepted Porsches, Lamborghinis and Ferraris. So then, because the owners of these cars had other cars and they didn’t want to bother with car problems, they finally handed them over to me to handle everything. Well, that’s it in the end. “I accept non-super cars too,” explained Resha.
Interestingly, this ID Supercar workshop also has a scanner for super cars. Unmitigated, Resha even claims to have a special Lamborghini scanner that can update software and code online.
“We actually got the tools from a supplier who did not sell directly to a non-authorized factory (general repair shop). Well, we can also get the tools from the link we have, because I was the one who worked at Lamborghini at that time. “I’ve been training frequently for 10 years, finally I got to know each other and made a link from there,” explained Resha.
“Well, the original one I have is of course a Lamborghini. I can say that the scanner capability is exactly the same as the one the authorize has, exactly the same,” he continued.
High flying hours also make Supercar id skilled at handling problems with super cars. Not only for carrying out routine services, this workshop which has been operating for more than 5 years can also carry out restorations.
“(Extreme restoration carried out by the id Supercar team) Lamborghini Aventador. The most we restored for the Aventador was IDR 1.3 billion. The rear body was destroyed, it was a collision,” said Resha.
Resha implements an operational system that is identical to an official workshop. It’s not surprising that even though Supercar id is a general repair shop, they also charge service fees which are calculated per working hour.
“If we compare it with Authorize, we are definitely not as expensive as Authorize. But our basic basis is still per hour,” said Resha.
“For example, let me give you an example, the rate for replacing an Aventador clutch is authorized, the rate is 27 hours. So the price per hour authorized is IDR 1.2 million. Now in Supercar ID we also apply the same thing, the 27 hours are the same but the rate is per hour “The rate per hour when we’re here is usually only IDR 600 thousand,” he continued.
Resha understands very well that in business terms the official repair shop and her public repair shop are not the same. His experience in official workshops allows him to compare the operational costs of official workshops.
“In terms of business, authorization has high operational costs. They have to train people, they have KPIs for factories, and they have all kinds of sales targets. That’s why they have high costs,” said Resha.
“Well, I don’t have costs that high. That’s why I can price better than authorize. So that’s the key there. I also say to all customers, ‘They are expensive, which is normal, because they have high operational costs and are different from mine. ‘,” concluded Resha.
