Super Moon 2021: Blue Moon over New York City on August 30th

For the second time this month, the phenomenon known as the Super Moon will be visible in the skies over New York.

It will be the night of this coming Wednesday, August 30 when it is presented.

Being the second full moon in the same month, this will be known as the Blue Moon or Blue Moon.

According to NASA, on August 30 sunset will be at 7:42, so the moon will be seen better after 8:42 PM.

The Space Agency points out that the phenomenon is called a supermoon that occurs when the moon is closest to the earth and at the same time is full.

The moon is estimated to be about 405,500 kilometers or 253,000 miles away.

According to the national weather service, next Wednesday will be partly cloudy during the day.
