Super Mario Bros. celebrates its 35th anniversary this year and Nintendo is celebrating that with, yes, new games!
Fans of classics like Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy can rub their hands because all three games will soon be merged into 1 bundle and re-released for Nintendo Switch. An important point to know is that these are not contemporary remakes, but reissues of the original games in HD with an improved image resolution. The bundle also contains a music player in which the soundtracks of the three games can be listened to. Super Mario 3D All-Stars, as the bundle is called, is out September 18.
But that is not everything. Also the Wii U game Super Mario 3D World will be given a new look for the Switch and will receive additional DLC content called Bowser’s Fury. Players can look forward to the game starting February 12, 2021.
To conclude, we have one final announcement to share with you. It will be released on 16 October Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit for the Switch, a brand new Mario Kart experience with a twist: namely that you can use your own living room as a race track! The game will be available in two editions: a Mario set and a Luigi set. The sets each contain a lifelike miniature racing car and 4 gates with which you can map out your own route on the ground. Via free downloadable software you can then follow all the action via the on-board camera on your console or television screen. Friends and family can of course also participate in the fun, as there are also multiplayer races for up to four people!
