The regular season of the Super League ends on Sunday (3/3) but they have already “locked” which teams will participate in the two mini-leagues that follow. Through the playoffs, the champion team will once again emerge, but also who will secure the European tickets, while in the playoffs it will be seen who will take the lead for Super League 2.
The draw for the play-off and play-out schedule will be held next Monday at 15:00 at the Super League offices. Although it has not been clarified, the first round of the “mini leagues” is expected within the first ten days of March.
The six playoffs
The final game next weekend will show if there will be any change in the standings of the top four teams. At the end of the 25th racing week, AEK leads with 58 points, followed by PAOK with 57, o Panathinaikos with 55 and o Olympic with 53. O Mars is the 5th team that will participate in the playoffs (41 points), while yesterday, the Ghoul “stamped” the last ticket for the mini-league, after Asteras Tripoli lost against Kifissia.
The six teams will carry over their regular season points and play each other in a 10-game mini-league. In the final, the champion will be chosen, as well as who will share the remaining 3 out of 4 European tickets for Europa and the Conference League. How these are shared will be decided by the winner of the Cup final.
The battle of the playoffs
The remaining teams that finish from 7th to 14th place in the standings will enter the play-off mini-league. The eight will play each other once and through this process it will be seen who will be relegated to the second tier of Greek football.
The play-offs will be participated by Asteras Tripoli, Atromitos, OFI, Panserraikos, Volos, Panaitolikos, Kifissia, PAS Ioannina.
The Super League draw announcement
It is announced that the draw for the Playoffs & Playouts of the Stoiximan Super League Championship, season 2023-24, will be held on Monday 04.03.2024, at 15:00 for the Playoffs and at 15:15 for the Playouts, at the Super League offices .
It is noted that according to the decision of the Board of Directors of the Super League from 23.01.2024, the draw will be conducted with a hybrid system, i.e. with electronic production of 500 different scenarios and then a manual draw of one of them for the Playoffs and one for the Playouts.
