Gif Sundsvall and Örgryte IS settled on Monday evening in a bottom meeting in the super league, where both clubs were chasing three points for survival in the series.
The “Giffarna” got a dream start this evening, when forward Pontus Engblom gave his team the lead at home at Norrporten Arena already in the fourth minute. Öis then chased an equalizing goal, but to no avail.
Sundsvall eventually won 1-0, and thus secured an important victory. The “Giffarna” are now in tenth place with four points down to Helsingborgs IF in the qualifying spot, while Örgryte is jumbo with three points up to Skövde AIK in the qualifying spot in the series.
