The 2nd half started with a great missed opportunity by Bakaseta. In the 62′ Bauman saved an impressive header from Akaidin and in the 65′ Hugo’s header went just wide. But in the 78th minute, OFI won a penalty (via VAR) after Larson was brought down by Cherin. Iseka did it in the 81st minute and made it 2-1. But in the 83rd minute, the “greens” reacted immediately and equalized with Sporar’s place kick (2-2). The same player in the 88th minute missed a unique opportunity to overturn.
Olympiacos-Volos 3-0
In “Karaiskaki”, Olympiacos started the match strongly and in the 6th minute, Volos was left with 10 players due to the dismissal of Barrientos who raised his leg very high and dangerously and found Masouras with the plugs in his face.
The Piraeus started the pressure after the 10th minute and after missing opportunities with Pontense (11′ and 18′) and El Kaabi (20′ and 24′), in the 27th minute they opened the scoring with the Moroccan forward after Horta’s cross shot. The match developed into a monologue of the home team creating and losing chances for a 2nd goal which was achieved at 45’+5′ with a penalty by El Kaabi (Pontense won it from Myga after a VAR hint). Olympiakos’ recital of missed opportunities continued in the 2nd half. In the 56th minute, Masouras sent the ball into the net but the goal was disallowed by VAR for a foul that preceded Retsu in the phase. Goalkeeper Kovacs continued to save Volos, but in the 87th minute Jovetić, assisted by El Arabi, made it 3-0. And in the 89th minute, Olympiakos’ leader Podense scored a goal with a drift shot, but this too was canceled by the VAR for Navarro’s hand.
