GenPI.co – A Total Moon Eclipse or Super Blood Moon will occur on Wednesday (26/5). This phenomenon is very special because it is only experienced once every 195 years.
Head of Yogyakarta BMKG Stageof Ikhsan Pramudya said that at this moment the moon is in the closest position to the earth.

“The moon is at its closest position from the earth or what is called parige or better known as the super moon, so the moon will look bigger,” he said when confirmed by GenPI.co on Sunday (23/5).
Ikhsan said that almost all regions in Indonesia, including Yogyakarta, could see this incident.
“Another feature, the total lunar eclipse that we will witness is very special because it occurs every 195 years,” he said.
The phases of this total lunar eclipse are the beginning of the lunar eclipse starting at 15.46 WIB. Then a partial lunar eclipse, starting at 16.44 WIB. These two phases cannot be observed in Yogyakarta because they have not yet been published.
Furthermore, the total lunar eclipse phase starts at 18.09 WIB, then the peak of the lunar eclipse occurs at 18.18 WIB.
