This Friday, March 18, at 6 a.m., the first “pop-up” concert “Meeting Point” will take place in the yard of the Latvian National Museum of Art.
The people of Ukraine, who have already arrived in Latvia, are invited to this concert to watch the sunrise together with the locals, accompanied by music from Carnival Youth. All volunteers who are selflessly involved in relief work are especially invited.
The authors and organizers of the event, the team of the festival “Sounds of the Lake” emphasize that in these full-time times it is important for people to have public meetings to share their stories and feelings, as well as create joint events to promote Ukrainian integration into Riga’s cultural life. . The event has a “pop-up” character with an improvised stage, coffee and cookies. Guests are welcome to bring breakfast, a blanket and picnic chairs.
Similar events at this venue are scheduled to take place every Saturday afternoon over the next month. Cash donations in support of Ukraine will also be collected during the events.
