Offenbach (dpa) – In many regions of Germany, day trippers can look forward to lots of sunshine this weekend.
On the Upper Rhine and on the Saar, temperatures of up to 30 degrees are possible on Sunday, as the German Weather Service in Offenbach announced. In the northeastern half of the Federal Republic, the values are expected to climb to 20 to 26 degrees, and it will be a little cooler on the coastal sections.
On the night of Monday, the first, sometimes heavy, showers or thunderstorms can appear in the west and south-west, as the meteorologists explained. You will reach the Elbe and the east of Bavaria by the evening, locally there is a risk of storms.
The sun will probably shine the longest on Monday from the Baltic Sea to Lower Bavaria. According to the weather service, maximum values of 18 to 24 degrees are reached in the far north, in the other areas 24 to 28 degrees.
