Sungmo Hye-min Internal Medicine Clinic (Director Lee Hye-min, Bucheon) announced that it received the first grade in the 7th hemodialysis adequacy evaluation by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service. The hospital received a first grade in the hemodialysis adequacy evaluation in 2015.
Patients with impaired renal (kidney) function must artificially purify blood wastes through hemodialysis. However, since the risk of infection or complications and side effects due to the external environment is high during hemodialysis, treatment should be performed safely in an excellent medical institution with sufficient manpower, facilities, and equipment.
Accordingly, HIRA is conducting a hemodialysis adequacy evaluation for hospitals and clinics across the country so that hemodialysis patients and their families can use high-quality medical services.
This 7th hemodialysis adequacy evaluation evaluated the treatment for 6 months from October 2020 to March 2021. The main evaluation indicators are ▲ the ratio of doctors specializing in hemodialysis ▲ the rate of compliance with the hemodialysis adequacy test cycle ▲ the rate of compliance with the arteriovenous fistula stenosis monitoring ▲ the rate of compliance with the regular inspection cycle, and as many as 12 indicators are comprehensively reviewed.
As a result of the 7th evaluation, only 34 institutions received the first grade among 432 clinic-level medical institutions nationwide. Among them, Sungmo Hyemin Internal Medicine Clinic received a perfect score of 100 in 4 items including the hemodialysis adequacy satisfaction rate and 96.1 points in the calcium X phosphorus satisfaction rate. It was selected as a first class hospital.
Director Lee Hye-min explains, “Hemodialysis has many unexpected variables, so it must be treated in a medical institution with experienced medical staff and a safe environment.” I will provide,” he said.
