With the end of the corona pandemic in sight thanks to the vaccines, there has been no stopping it in recent days. The beach now fills up again during the spring break as usual and all the rules to keep the virus at bay seem to have been forgotten. No keeping your distance, no masks, parties and animals is what the clock strikes.
Bars, pubs and restaurants are packed in Miami again, which means cash register for a virtually topless dancer.

This weekend the animals got somewhat out of hand, the police arrested about 100 people who were rioting. Not because the youngsters did not adhere to the curfew, because it does not exist there. Also wearing mouth masks, keeping your distance and all kinds of other corona rules that hinder partying and beasting are not mandatory.
“We’re seeing way too much ‘Spring Break’ activity here,” Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber complained to CNN. “We have a problem with far too many people coming here to let themselves go.”
His complaint makes sense, because in recent days the number of infections in Florida has increased sharply again, with a counter now standing above 5000 infections per day. And when everyone goes back home soon, the Sunshine State may also turn out to be a Superspreader State, the virologists fear.
