Sun Dor flew children from the Gaza Strip to the team games in Budapest

This morning, 2 special flights of Sun Dor (of the El Al group) took off to Budapest with 350 children and their parents, as part of a special project of the “Blue and White Victory” organization established in recent weeks by Avraham Dreizin and Yonatan Sharvit. The purpose of the project is to allow children who experienced trauma in the events of October 7, to experience up close the two games of the Israeli national team in Budapest, tonight against Switzerland and Saturday against Romania and to take part in cheering the team.

The children aged 9-18 came from all the surrounding settlements including Bari, Nahal Oz, Kfar Gaza, Sderot and more, accompanied by a parent. The organization took care of all expenses including accommodation and the stay in Budapest. In addition to supporting the Israeli team on the field, they will enjoy various attractions at no cost, in order to create a new and good memory.

According to Gal Gershon, CEO of Sun Dor from the El Al Group: “I am happy and excited to take part in the project for the children of the Otaf and hope that they will have a strengthening experience and a pleasant respite from the difficult reality. We will continue to respond to requests and requests for special flights, even in this challenging period. I wish all of us that we will know good days and much success for the Israeli national team.”

Yonatan Sharvit, one of the initiators of the ‘Blue and White Victory’ project, added: “We thank the Sun Dor company of the El Al Group for making available to us the planes that will fly all the passengers, Harel Insurance which is very helpful and two dear people without whose help we would not have been able to implement this important project – Frank Lui, the chairman of Keren Hayesod and Hanoch Nissani who helped us realize a dream for hundreds of children of Otaf in this difficult moment.”
