NEW YORK – Friday starts with lots of sun and chances of clouds in the afternoon. Area residents will be able to enjoy temperatures in the 70s.
By Friday night, there is a chance of isolated showers in the northwest counties and early Saturday morning. This will be a cold front passing over our area, but most of the region will still be dry.
Under sunny skies we will need sunglasses both on Saturday and Sunday, especially if we decide to go to von the pages with the colors of the season which is beginning to appear throughout the Hudson Valley.
Our next chance for rain will be on Monday followed by cooler temperatures for the rest of the work week.
Tropical prayers
Hurricane Kirk and Tropical Storm Leslie continue to circulate in the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean as we continue to monitor a low pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico that could become a tropical system next week.
Meanwhile, in the Pacific, another tropical wave is likely to develop along the southwest coast of Mexico.
