Paraguay defines details for its participation in the women’s Copa América 2022, which will take place between June 8 and 30 in Colombia. The Paraguayan coach presented his group of players for the tournament in which they will play in their first round in Cali.
This Tuesday, June 21, the coach Marcello Frigério announced to his group of 23 footballers that they will go into action and that they are in search of continental glory in the competition that will be played in three Colombian cities, but in which they will see action only, in the groups, in the capital of Valle del Cauca.
It should be remembered that the Albirrojo team will debut, precisely, on June 8 against the host, Colombia, at 7:00 p.m., at the Pascual Guerrero stadium, the stage where América de Cali acts as a local. It will be the second duel of the day.
On the other hand, they are a total of eight soccer players who come from the football of the Old Continent, six from local soccer, another eight from South American teams; included between Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia; and finally, one will play as a free agent.
The Paraguayans, in the eight editions of the women’s Copa América, the best position in which they have been placed was a fourth position achieved in the 2006 competitiondisputed in Argentina, when precisely the host was the champion.
