Queen Elizabeth left Windsor Castle in late July for her first summer vacation without her late husband Prince Philip. It is the Queen’s first vacation after her husband’s death in April. It is rumored that Elizabeth had already traveled to Balmoral for a week in May to mourn Philip.
The Queen is expected to remain in Scotland until early October. Her children and grandchildren will accompany her regularly.
