Summer weather is returning – but some people are getting wet

August has arrived in full force, with changing weather across the country. Now the meteorologist on duty at StormGeo, Isak Slettebø, can promise summer weather in östafjell.

– From Wednesday, temperatures there will reach over 25 degrees. It’s been a few weeks since we last saw each other. There will be a lot of sun, but with a cloud cover that may move a little.

Meteorologist Slettebø says it looks like they will arrive from Wednesday and will last for a while, he says.

This is due to a high pressure that is outside Ireland, and will come into Scandinavia later in the week.

– Lots of rainfall

For the areas in the west and in the north, the weather will not be as pleasant. A low pressure near Iceland will bring a lot of precipitation, and quite cool temperatures.

– Due to the low pressure, there will be a lot of precipitation in the rainfall area, where the center is a little north of Bergen. So more of the same that has been for a while, says Slettebø.

The rainy weather will increase from Wednesday, he says, and last for many days.

So the boots and the umbrella can safely stand before people in these areas.

No summer temperatures

He thinks this will start on Tuesday. Nor will there be particularly summer temperatures in these areas.

– Western Norway and Northern Norway will experience temperatures that are not particularly cool, but not hot either. In Bodø it can be around 15 degrees, while Bergen can eventually approach 20 degrees.

If you live in Stavanger, however, you can expect dry weather. According to the forecasts, they are slightly south of the rainfall area.
