The department ofHerault attracts many holidaymakers every year and thus ranks among the 4 most touristic departments of France, according to the Prefect of Hérault. This high influx of tourists requires appropriate security measures. This is why the gendarmerie group is planning a Summer Population Protection System (DEPP), which includes the reinforcement of the Republican Guard, whose arrival is scheduled for July 26 next to Salagou lake.
This reinforcement system for the Cavaliers of the Republican Guard has been in place since 2018, on the banks of Lake Salagou. The body of the National Gendarmerie will be welcomed by Eric Suzanne sub-prefect of Lodève, Olivier Esseul deputy to the commander of the gendarmerie company of Lodève, and Mary Passieux president of the Grand Site Salagou – Cirque de Mourèze. This reception will also allow the presentation of this security device.
