This summer, Deutsche Bahn is offering ICE and IC tickets for less than ten euros for short journeys. The tickets are available from 9.90 euros between June 11 and July 31, the company announced on Wednesday.
When asked by rbb | 24, the railway said that the route Berlin-Lutherstadt Wittenberg was part of the offer. In addition, the tickets should be valid on the Cologne-Düsseldorf, Hamburg-Bremen, Frankfurt-Mannheim, Dresden-Leipzig, Stuttgart-Ulm and Augsburg-Munich routes, it said. “The availability of the offer depends on both the capacity utilization and the length of the requested connection,” said the Deutsche Bahn press office.
A total of one million tickets
According to Deutsche Bahn, passengers with a Bahncard 25 or 50 can travel long-distance for as little as EUR 7.40, since the discount of 25 percent is granted.
According to the information, more than one million tickets are available during the campaign period, as the railway also announced. The tickets are valid for second class and can be purchased online or through DB sales outlets.
