On July 9th and 10th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the summer market Kunst & Kirschen, which is well-known far beyond the south of Hamburg, will take place in Moorburg (Moorburger Elbdeich 263, 21129 Hamburg) in a rural idyll – for the first time in two years without corona restrictions! Visitors can look forward to a country outing with over 35 creative exhibitors presenting high-quality handicrafts and exciting art on the site of the former farm. This includes noble and robust end-grain cutting boards as well as versatile ceramics, exclusive clothing, unusual jewellery, hand-forged knives, unusual lamps and furniture and of course paintings and objects.
The special thing about this outing: Only artists and craftspeople who bring high-quality work from their own studios and workshops are allowed to participate. Merchandise is not allowed. Of course, the delicious cherries, which helped shape the name of the event, can also be purchased on site and visitors can strengthen themselves with coffee, cake and hearty food in the cottage garden.
Also throw Carsten Rabe his turning machine and shows what can be made of wood, Antje Vajen brings her loom, the painter Alexander Roppelt portrays visitors on site in oil and Almuth Heer invites you to a taster workshop “Sculpture” on Sunday. As a special treat on Sunday from 4.30 p.m. the “Hafenbarde” Werner Pfeifer and as the main band “Students & Band” to be heard in the open air. Admission is only 2 euros.
