Summer in Place 2023: Exciting Activities for Teens at Espace sportif Paul-Langevin

This is the event expected by young people aged 11 to 15 years. Summer in place for teens returns this year until Friday, July 28, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Espace sportif Paul-Langevin. With a novelty for this 2023 edition: a sand ground on the city stadium.

A rich and diversified program

As in previous meetings, it is a rich program (concentrating new experiences) that awaits young Martinérois. On the program: beach soccer, beach volleyball, tennis-ball, manga drawing, dance, multimedia creation, introduction to the drone, making natural cosmetics, board games… Not to mention the Bubble You and its giant bubbles, or the cooking workshops of the association Les Mijotés, initiations to graffiti, and of course the hip-hop workshops of Sylvain Nlend from the Citadanse company. The youth service also offers a fruit bar area.

David Queiros, the mayor of Saint-Martin-d’Hères, and part of his municipal team came this Wednesday, July 12 to inaugurate the third edition of Summer in Place at the Sports Space. The mayor was accompanied by elected officials Monique Denadji, early childhood assistant, Abdelhalim Benlakhlef, youth adviser, Claudine Kahane, cultural affairs assistant, Christophe Bresson, assistant in charge of the environment, mobility and public spaces, and the city councilor Serge Benito. Laurent Zorman, the Deputy Director General for “Population”, also attended this visit.

A visit to the pits before a big storm

All passed through the various stands and sports and leisure areas (well-being, ecology and environment, artistic expression, multimedia, culture and science) in the presence of Mohamed Kodat, animator of the youth center. The opportunity for the city councilor and his elected officials and agents to discuss with each association or club represented on the site.

Given the risk of violent storms announced, the municipality had brought forward the time of the inauguration to 5 p.m. (instead of 6 p.m.). A welcome initiative since after 6 p.m., a big storm came to settle over the metropolis.

The return of the sun in the coming days should allow, as in previous years, a significant visit to the site, with the appropriate protective measures.

Youth passport and prior registration required, to be made with the youth service: 5 rue Albert-Samain, tel. 04 76 60 90 64
