The summer plans are being made for many these days, and the hope of a holiday trip to Denmark still lives on in many Norwegians. Danish BT reports, however, a challenging situation in the cottage market.
Due to the pandemic, 142 per cent more holiday home bookings have already been registered than last year in July and August, respectively, according to figures from Statistics Denmark.
The sharp increase is happening despite a decline in orders from German tourists, who have been told that only if they are fully vaccinated, they will be allowed in from 1 May.
In other words, it is the Danes themselves who contribute to solid growth, according to BT.
Quarantined or not
Denmark came at the end of April with the news that people from Trøndelag, Nordland and Troms and Finnmark could travel to Denmark without being quarantined.
