333 male and female participants in the summer of the Maliha Cultural and Sports Club enjoyed a variety of events at the end of the second week of the summer activity, which was titled “Here is Sharjah” within the “Our Vacation is Change” programme.
The “Here is Sharjah” week carried a series of activities and workshops, including a visit to the Mleiha Antiquities Center and learning about the history of the Mleiha region and the surrounding areas, and the periods that passed from many eras of time, in addition to various workshops in cooperation with the Municipality of Mleiha, Bee’ah Company, the Department of Social Services and the Sharjah Foundation for the Qur’an and Sunnah, in addition to strengthening cooperation to introduce participants to the most prominent sites of the Emirate of Sharjah, as well as introducing the roles of operating institutions and their role in community service.
Participants in those programs moved throughout the second week, and practiced a number of activities that gave them skills in positive interaction, public health, drawing and agricultural work, as well as interest in physical fitness.
Abdullah Salem Al-Khasouni Al-Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maliha Cultural and Sports Club, confirmed that the second week of the summer of the Maliha Club, which was titled “Here is Sharjah”, achieved great success and turnout, in addition to the number of activities that were organized, with the aim of entertaining the participants and providing them with information about Sharjah in all fields.
