Although my experience was somewhat weakened by game crashes and some minor bugs, it definitely didn’t spoil the game as a whole. Dark Alliance fits well into the pantheon of Dungeons and Dragons.

The Tuque Games are really lucky, as none of the mistakes that the Dark Alliance contains can destroy the final experience of this action RPG. It is a solid cooperative dungeon crawler using the cult environment and lore D&D. You’ll have to get used to the fights for a while, and putting together a party is more complicated than it should be, the Dark Alliance remains a fun adventure from start to finish.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is not a bad game, but at the moment it seems untouched. Insufficient character development, plot and world building will probably discourage even die-hard D&D fans. As far as fans of multiplayer action games are concerned, the core of the title is relatively solid, but the insufficient technical processing, repetitive structure and uninteresting loot system are likely to discourage this group of players after a while of playing. Let’s hope that over time, thanks to patches and additional content, you will be able to fine-tune the experience and turn it into a brisk fantasy hack and slash multiplayer fun. Just make sure you don’t forget to take at least one friend to the party before playing.

There is a tendency to recommend bad games to the most loyal fans, but I think Dungeons & Dragons fans will hate this game even more than newcomers. The salvation is that the Dark Alliance is part of the Game Pass, so it doesn’t have to cost you anything to buy it. The game has potential, I just would not expect it to show in the near future.
