๔. Progress in helping Thai people from Lao Kai town, Shan State, Myanmar.

• In the past, the Thai government has been monitoring the situation and continuing to help Thai people in Myanmar. The situation is delicate and there are restrictions on entering the area. However, please rest assured that the Ministry and all related agencies are working hard to help our Thai brothers and sisters return to Thailand as soon as possible.
• Latest situation of Thai people
  • A group of 41 Thai people had fled from Lao Kai town before the fighting broke out. And the Myanmar authorities have arranged for them to arrive safely in Chiang Tung. At this time, the Thai authorities are in the process of coordinating with the Myanmar side to send the said group of people to travel to Thailand through the Mae Sai-Tachileik checkpoint.
  • Status of Thai people in Lao Kai City
    • The group that used to be in a Myanmar military camp has now been transferred to a hospital under the care of the Myanmar authorities, totaling 165 people.
    • Groups that employers have released from the workplace Residing in safety in Lao Kai City. and is currently waiting for the Myanmar authorities to send them to join another group of Thais, totaling 89 people.
