He sumar candidate to Congress for Málaga, toni valeroexplained this Thursday that the formation proposes to “intervene, regulate and protect citizens” by limiting the rental price against “the law of the salute of rights.”
“There is a political force, which is Sumar, which intervenes, regulates and protects in the face of problems”, and in the face of “a right and an ultra-right that is on the side of investment funds that are profiting from our rights and that have allowed let the law of the jungle reign at ease in the real estate park”.
This was explained by Valero together with Mar González, Sumar’s number 2 candidate, before participating in an open meeting in Malaga on housing policy.
Valero has stressed that Sumar is running a campaign “that focuses on specific proposals” and has added that “we want a useful policy that focuses on people’s daily problems”, alluding to the fact that “one of the main problems of Malaga men and women is the price of housing”.
“We are seeing how many families are allocating more than 30% of their income to rent or to impossible mortgages” and has also warned that “many working families have to decide whether to buy the clothes that the children need that month They either pay the rent or the mortgage. For this reason, he said, housing is “a problem of the first magnitude that must be tackled.”
At this point, he said that, first of all, “we have to see what happens with those families that are allocating more than that 30% to mortgages.” Thus, he has proposed that “as an urgent, emergency measure”, the “1,000 euro bonus for families that are allocating more than that 30% due to the rise in the Euribor on their mortgage and who do not make ends meet”.
But, he continued, “as a long-term structural measure, just as we have done with energy, we must regulate the maximum price of the mortgage at a variable rate“.
Regarding rentals, he recalled that “there are many young people who cannot emancipate themselves because they cannot access rental housing, as enshrined in our Constitution.” In his opinion, “you have to regulate rental prices and we want to adjust the regulations so that the PP cannot slip away where it governs”.
Another proposal is “a public housing park to the European one, as it happens in the Netherlands or in Austria, and for this reason we commit ourselves to invest 1% of GDP to reach the end of the legislature with two million homes that allow, with social rent, that young people can emancipate themselves”.
“There is a political force, which is summerwhich intervenes, regulates and protects in the face of problems”, and in the face of “a right and an ultra-right that are on the side of the investment funds that are profiting from our rights and that have allowed the law of the jungle to rule over their wide in the real estate park”.
For his part, González has warned that “holiday and seasonal homes are making rental and purchase prices in Malaga completely inaccessible.”
