Suma Fitness Club Plans to Increase Revenue by 12.5% in 2023, Exceeding Billing Record

Demmero Group gets muscle. The company, which manages the Suma Fitness Club brand of gyms, foresees increase its revenue by 12.5% in 2023going from revenues of eight million euros in 2022 to nine million euros at the end of this year, according to CMD Sport.

If the expected figure is reached, the company founded in 2017 would exceed its billing record reached in 2022 and will leave behind the 5.2 million euros registered in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The head of marketing for Suma Fitness, Javier Muñoz, has admitted to the aforementioned media that “the general balance of what we have of this year has been positive; We can have a case that can be improved, not necessarily very negative, but what is certain is that more than one of the six centers that we govern has exceeded 100% of its capacity, and others are at very high figures”. The manager added that “in general, we withstand competition very well in the midst of a tide of gym chains that offer very competitive prices.”

The group closed last year with 25,500 members and among its plans for 2023, the increase in the number of subscribers by a thousand members during this year stands out, raising them to 26,500 subscribers.

The sports centers managed by Grupo Demmero have a wide variety of equipment: from swimming pools, directed activity rooms, weight room, and tennis and paddle tennis courts. The Demmero group manages the centers, but they are not under the umbrella of the brand.

Jesús Ferrer, son-in-law of Juan Roig, founder of Mercadona and president of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, is in charge of managing Piscina Valencia, which is part of the set of sports venues signed and managed by the Demmero group.

If you reach your forecasts, the company will join a group of fitness chains that have skyrocketed their turnover in recent months without precedent. Recently, VivaGym announced that it plans to reach one hundred million in sales in 2023 and open up to two new markets from 2025.

In addition, Enjoy Wellness intends to increase its income to 23 million in 2023 and make the leap to Portugal this year. The Madrid chain of fitness centers forecasts a 15% increase in billing this year. In addition, it has a budget of 1.2 million euros to renovate its facilities this year.
