“Sum 41 has given us some of the best times of our lives since 1996. We will always be forever grateful to our fans, old and new, who have always supported us. It’s hard to describe the love and respect we have for all of you, and we wanted to , so you hear it from us first. Sum 41 will be disbanding,” the musicians wrote, adding, “…we are excited for what the future holds for each of us. Thank you for the past 27 years of Sum 41,” Instagram said musicians.

Sum 41 is a Canadian rock band from Ajax, Ontario, formed in 1996. The band consists of Derrick Whibley (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jason McCaslin (bass, backing vocals), Steve Yoch (percussion, backing vocals).
