After a period of grief over the death of his eldest son, Wadih, joy returned to the heart of “Sultan of Tarab” George Wassouf, when he celebrated the baptism of his first granddaughter, “Amia,” the daughter of his son, George Junior.

At the baptism ceremony, George Wassouf appeared while joking with his granddaughter, “Amia,” and said to her with a smile: “He who created you will bless me.”

This celebration comes after George Wassouf lost his eldest son, Wadih, last January, due to the deterioration of his health due to complications from the sleeve gastrectomy he underwent.

George Wassouf expressed his grief and separation from his son with the song “Nass Omri,” and recently released the song “Ashan Mesh Shabko,” which came in the Egyptian dialect, in cooperation with poet Malak Adel, distributor Zizou Farouk, and composer Muhammad Yahya.

George Wassouf will remain one of the most important artistic faces in the Arab world, and he recently gave a concert at the “Jerash” festival, enriching the audience with a collection of his most beautiful and beloved songs.
