Al-Rahbi said, in statements to the Egyptian newspaper, “The Seventh Day”, that the economic aspect will take over a large part of the discussions during the Sultan’s visit.
The visit is scheduled to witness the signing of a number of economic agreements and memorandums of understanding, including an agreement in the field of double taxation, and another in the field of financial cooperation, and there are 6 agreements under study that will be finalized soon, in addition to the existence of 41 memorandums of understanding between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman, according to the newspaper. .
He pointed out that tomorrow, Monday, an economic forum will be held that will bring together the ministers of finance, trade and industry, and the head of the Omani Investment Authority, with a number of major Egyptian investors and businessmen, during which cooperation opportunities will be presented in various economic activities in the two countries.
Maximizing the volume of investments
Al-Rahbi added, “I affirm here that maximizing the volume of investments between the two countries comes at the forefront of our priorities, within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and Oman’s Vision 2040, in a manner that amounts to the volume of political and diplomatic relations and is in the interest of the two peoples.”
He said that during the past two years there were many Omani economic delegations that visited Egypt to view investment opportunities, and we are making great efforts to inform Omani investors about investment opportunities in Egypt, and we expect a new start for economic cooperation between Egypt and Oman.
