Ahmed Suleiman, a former member of Zamalek’s board of directors, confirmed that he would not run for the presidency of the White Castle Board of Directors in the upcoming elections due to the club’s lack of need for what he described as “electoral conflicts.”
Suleiman indicated in statements on the Echo of the Country channel, that the next president of the Zamalek club will be known to the masses and not a new face, given the style of success in the elections recently.
Suleiman said: “Zamalek does not need an electoral struggle now, everyone should move away from the club and support it from afar. The time is not appropriate for our presence, at least inside the club, to prevent understanding the matter wrongly.”
And he continued: “The next president of Zamalek will be known to everyone and have existed before, whether Zamalek, Al-Ahly or the Football Association, because any president for them was a former board member because it is impossible for a person to fall into the seat of the president by a parachute.”
He added, “Zamalek’s real debt amounts to 2 billion pounds.”
And Abizaid: “The previous Zamalek administration had a disaster. It was collecting the club’s shop rents for 10 years in advance, finding money to cover its expenses, but whoever is coming will find nothing to collect.”
He concluded, “I reject Zamalek’s adoption of the idea of collecting donations from the masses to renew Ferjani Sassi’s contract.”
