The PrahaIN.cz editorial team has repeatedly written about sugar, a traditional symbol of Christmas. We noticed both price differences and possible fines. These are threatened in the event that domestic confectioners do not report to the authorities that they earn extra money in this way.

This year, the State Agricultural and Food Inspection has promised not only inspections, but also fines. These can reach up to hundreds of thousands of crowns.

But this news was not the only thing that caused passion.

We have now been alerted to the massive discussion that has been taking place on social media for several days after Penam announced the sale of its candy.

The debaters split into two groups. He defends and praises the first company, the second has started everything related to it. Primarily to Andrej Babiš.

Penalty is namely, a member of the AGROFERT concern managed by the company AGROFERT, as And it is connected precisely with the former prime minister.

Butter didn’t see it

“Guys, if you don’t like Penam, don’t buy those products. How simple,” one of the writers sighed after a wave of negations. The social network refers to her as a leading fan of Penam. “I’d rather bake my own at home than do Bureš’s business,” countered Vojtěch B.

There were many times more similar attitudes.

The administrator of the profile tried to participate in the debate in a number of cases. He later gave up. These were moments when, apart from Andrej Babiš, raw materials were being used. “Homemade? Isn’t that baked from shit? But those who are used to them all year round may even like them,” said another writer ironically. “You don’t know how delicious homemade candy tastes! That Babiš didn’t even see the butter from the express car,” added others.

Prices? High

You can order sweets, for example, at confectionery Myšák. A kilogram will cost 1,698 crowns, and the package includes vanilla rolls, Paris wheels, coconuts, marzipan and rum balls, Linnaeus and nuts.

It also offers twelve types of traditional Christmas cookies Confectioner Skála. A kilogram will cost 1,490 crowns.

It has even slightly cheaper sweets in its menu Erhart’s Confectionery. A kilogram costs 1,200 crowns and the gift box contains fourteen types of handmade Christmas cookies.

Epiphany patisserie in Zaječice, near Pardubice, advertises a kilogram of candy for 1,970 crowns.

But we found an even more expensive one.

Confectionery and bakery workshop of Zdeňko Pohlreich and Daniele Café Imperial Dolce.

The price of the candy is highlighted on the website at 1,595 crowns. But then we noticed a note that it was only 750 grams. A standard kilogram would cost 2,127 crowns.

“Poor Penam employees,” later voices said.

But the aforementioned company did not face such strong criticism for just one post. An identical condition arose after Penam raised the issue of gluten-free vanilla rolls. Vulgarities and attacks on Andrej Babiš appeared here as well.
