The Hang Xanh intersection is one of many traffic areas in Ho Chi Minh City that the Department of Transportation is investigating to reduce traffic congestion.

As pointed out by reporter Dan Viet, in the late afternoon every day, there is always severe congestion at the Ho Chi Minh City gate – Hang Xanh intersection area.

There is traffic congestion on Xo Viet Nghe Tinh street, the section from Hang Xanh intersection to Martyrs Memorial intersection.

Traffic is chaotic on the road from the Hang Xanh intersection to the Martyr Memorial intersection, vehicles jostling to move.

Mr. Nguyen Canh (who lived in Thu Duc City) said: “The traffic at the Hang Xanh intersection has been going on for a long time. . waiting to move. Everyone is tired of this area.”

According to many traffic participants, during rush hour, it takes them a long time to travel through the roads around the Hang Xanh intersection.

The congestion continued for a long time, and drivers had to “go through” the road, but this situation did not develop yet.

Hang Xanh intersection and the two lines Xo Viet Nghe Tinh and Dinh Bo Linh are typical traffic black spots in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to statistics, in the first 9 months of 2024, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh street (section from Bach Dang to Martyrs’ Memorial intersection) had a density of 615 times; Dinh Bo Linh intersection was congested 588 times and Hang Xanh intersection was congested 161 times.

Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Transportation has recommended that the city government should prioritize investment in expanding Dinh Bo Linh Street and Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street from now to 2030. Meanwhile, The Department of Transportation of Ho Chi Minh City requested a research plan advisory unit to build elevated roads at gateways into the city’s general planning, including National Highway 13, National Highway 1, National Highway 22, the main road North- South and Binh Tien road bridge.
