JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Bukalapak open voice regarding PT Harmas Jalesveva’s lawsuit worth Rp 1.1 trillion to the South Jakarta District Court (PN).
Head of PR Bureau Bukalapak Monica Chua said that his party was waiting for documents related to the lawsuit and preparing legal steps.
“Currently we are waiting for documents related to the lawsuit from the competent authorities to study and prepare and take available legal steps in accordance with the applicable legal corridors,” said Monica in a statement to Kompas.com, Monday (4/7/2022). ).

Monica said that the lawsuit from PT Harmas Jalesveva was not the first time that Bukalapak had faced. In the previous lawsuit, the panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court could not accept the lawsuit filed by the company.
At that time, Monica said, the court’s decision clearly granted Bukalapak’s exception regarding the lack of parties in the lawsuit (a partnership of more), so that Harmas’ claim cannot be accepted (declared inadmissible).
“Bukalapak respects and will carry out this decision as a company that operates according to legal regulations in Indonesia,” he said.

Monica explained that her party had planned to cooperate with Harmas in terms of renting work locations as outlined in the Letter of Intent.
Bukalapak, he said, has paid down payment to strengthen this collaboration.
However, Bukalapak was unable to continue the work location rental plan with the consideration that Harmas’ obligations were still not fulfilled in providing work location space.

He said, although this plan was not continued, until now Harmas has not fulfilled its obligation to return it down payment it to Bukalapak.
“Like when we won the first lawsuit, our position in the case in question is strong and clear. We cannot continue the cooperation plan with the plaintiff, considering that Harmas has not fulfilled the obligation to provide work location space,” he said.
“Therefore, we did not take part in the loss of the plaintiff’s rental income or other losses. Therefore, we are ready to face this second lawsuit,” he said.
Meanwhile, PT Bukalapak was again sued by PT Harmas Jalesveva for Rp. 1.1 trillion to the South Jakarta District Court.
Reported by the official website of the South Jakarta District Court, the lawsuit with case number 575/Pdt.G/2022/PN JKT.SETL is related to project work and loss of rental income for 5 years.
