Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees Sandiaga Uno revealed that there was an agreement regarding the presidential election that was signed Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan. Anies Baswedan’s presidential candidate team, Sudirman Said, said he had never heard of an agreement between Prabowo and Anies regarding the presidential election.
“I have not heard of any such agreement, there is an agreement on sharing the regional election costs with Pak Sandi, I know that,” Sudirman told reporters in Jakarta, Saturday (30/1/2023).
The agreement known to Sudirman Said between Sandi and Anies regarding the 2017 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election. The agreement between Anies and Sandi, said Sudirman Said, has been completed.
“And in that agreement, among other things, there was also a debt agreement with Pak Sandi and Pak Anies because at that time Pak Anies had no money. But the agreement said that if the regional elections won, the debts would be finished and considered a joint struggle,” said Sudirman Said .
“It’s finished, and I read it and at that time it was among those who participated in the discussion with Mr. Sandi,” he added.
Therefore, Sudirman Said has never heard of an agreement between Prabowo and Anies regarding the presidential election. Anies when he was governor of DKI Jakarta, said Sudirman Said, preferred to focus on dealing with the Capital City.
“Regarding the presidential election agreement, I have never heard of it. What exists is that I am helping Pak Prabowo to participate in discussing with Pak Anies whether Pak Anies is willing to become a vice presidential candidate or not, and many times I have discussed his answer ‘I will focus on taking care of Jakarta’ because that is in the election. I don’t follow this,” he added.
Sandiaga Uno previously spoke about the agreement he signed with the Ketum of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan. Sandiaga admitted that until now he is still committed to implementing the agreement.
“I am committed (committed). I have come to this point because I signed the commitment, and maybe others can be asked,” said Sandiaga at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Monday (30/1).
Sandiaga explained that the agreement with Prabowo and Anies was signed in September 2016, the night before the registration for the 2017 DKI gubernatorial election. The agreement, he said, was signed on a stamp duty.
