Tomorrow the high temperatures will persist. In the afternoon and Saturday night, precipitation is expected in the north-western parts of the country, accompanied by thunder.
A significant climate change begins on Saturday. In our country there will be precipitation with thunder, more in the northern and northeastern parts of the country. This is what meteorologist Petar Yankov predicted for Bulgaria On Air.
According to him, temperatures during the weekend will drop significantly: if they are between 25-30 degrees on Saturday, they will drop to 23-29 degrees on Sunday.
“This lowering of temperatures will continue into next week as well. It can be said that the intense rainfall expected for next Tuesday will bring an autumn flavor. In the next week we expect temperatures below 20 degrees,” he explained.
According to Yankov, the next period of heavy rainfall will be during the weekend of September 24-25, when temperatures remain relatively low.
“The meteorological autumn will come first in our country”, he was categorical. The forecaster added that more sun is expected between 24 and 26 September, when the “poor summer” begins.
After the weekend rain, a period of frequent fog is expected.
“There are no strong winds, the only dangerous phenomenon that will disturb the population is the rainfall on Tuesday. It will be intense with quantities of about 20-25 liters per day in the central and north-eastern parts of the country,” he said.
The next weekend will be suitable for hiking in the mountains of the country.
“Temperatures on Saturday and Sunday in our southern neighbors will be around 30-34 degrees. It will be suitable for spending weekends there,” summarized Yankov.
