Four days after signing the new one-year contract, San Jose turned Czech hockey goalkeeper Josef Kořenář into an NHL club. Sharks traded him to Arizona, where they got another goalkeeper, Adina Hill. According to overseas media, the clubs also exchanged positions in the draft in 2022.
The 23-year-old Kořenář started last season in Třinec and had a share in winning the championship title of Steelmen. He premiered in the NHL in April, not cashing for a third against Los Angeles.
