Yesterday, November 29, at Forum Cinemas, the group Sudden Lights released their concert film with a sold-out premiere screening. The premiere took place in the ISENSE hall, which is the largest cinema hall in the Baltics. The film will be available in cinemas throughout Latvia, the last screening in Riga will take place on December 9 at Forum Cinemas. The movie will also be available online soon.
“After the vivid experience at the Eurovision Song Contest this spring, we felt that we had received extremely strong emotions. After the huge public support and countless good words we received, we decided to prepare something special and unprecedented for our listeners. The Green Theater with its scenic atmosphere was a great addition to our music and the prepared show,” says Sudden Lights about the concert in Mežapark’s Green Theater.
The concert film includes 13 songs from all three of the band’s albums, which Sudden Lights performed in their most ambitious open-air show to date in Mežapark’s Green Theater.
In the concert film, in parallel with the concert songs, the band members reveal themselves in very personal, documentary sketches created by the director Uģ Oltes, in which the border between the real and the fictional disappears, thus giving an opportunity to look into the souls of the band members.
Screenings of the Sudden Lights concert film will take place on November 30 at Forum Cinemas, Riga, on December 1 at Cinamon Balle, Liepāja, on December 6 at 3D Cinemas, Valmiera and on December 8 at Ventspils cinema RIO. Due to the great interest, an additional screening is planned in Riga, which will take place on December 9 at Forum Cinemas. It will be the last screening of the film in Riga this year.
Tickets are available at the cinema box office.
