Frankfurt am Main/Tel Aviv/Ljubljana – Not reaching your intended flight destination is annoying. But if unexpected problems arise along the way, the unwanted delay quickly becomes a minor matter. It was a similar story for the occupants of a plane that flew in at the beginning of October Frankfurt am Main started.

Like the airplane portal “Aviation Herald” Only recently reported that a plane from the largely unknown San Marino Executive Aviation had already set off from the Main metropolis towards Tel Aviv on October 1st.
But the machine was never supposed to arrive there. However, this was not due to a sudden cancellation of flights to Israel, as Lufthansa is doing until at least the end of October. Already in the airspace over Ljubljana, the crew noticed that something was wrong with the plane.
According to unofficial information from the Aviation Herald, a mayday was even declared. Apparently this was related to a defect in a system for displaying flight movements in the airspace.

On flight route portals such as “Flightradar24”, when looking at the San Marino airline’s flight, you can also see how the plane circles over Ljubljana for a while.
The machine is said to have initially drained excess kerosene. Around 75 minutes after the problem was first noticed, the plane finally landed at the airport in the Slovenian capital.
For the pilot of flight LY822, the unplanned stopover was the only logical consequence – after all, if the system was actually defective, he would not have been able to observe the movements of other aircraft on the radar. The landing in Ljubljana, however, went without any further complications.
One TAG24 request San Marino Executive Aviation has not yet responded to the incident.
According to the Aviation Herald, the plane was still on Slovenian soil around 25 hours after landing.
