Sudden death during a school trip to New York

An end-of-year trip to New York resulted in the sudden death of an English student. 17-year-old Anastasia Uglow was found dead in her room at the Holiday Inn Express.

She was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

According to the newspaper The Sun, the young woman suffered from a pre-existing condition and had complained of pain during the trip. She was on a school trip with her high school, the Bristol Grammar School.

A spokesperson for the New York Police Department said his body would be examined to determine the exact cause of his death.

In a statement, the school expressed its deepest condolences to the student’s family. “We are saddened by this news and our thoughts are with his loved ones during this extremely difficult period”, we can read there.
