Vice President of the Sudanese Congress Party, Khaled Omar, commented on the statements of the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, nicknamed “My praise“.
Omar said on his account on the “X” platform on Thursday that Hemedti’s speech is very dangerous, pointing out that “Sudan seems headed towards partition at the speed of a missile.”
He also added that all forces desiring peace must unite in order to put an end to the war through negotiations that preserve the unity of Sudan.
He also added: “We have said it repeatedly.. Continuing the war will turn it into a civil war that divides the country.. Let us confront the plans of the remnants.. Sudan is at stake and saving it depends on stopping the war immediately and moving towards real and fair peaceful solutions.”
“One professional army”
And it was My praise He saw that “what happened on April 15 blocked the political process.”
He said in an audio recording he posted on his account on the “X” platform earlier Thursday: “We want to end the war in Sudan and form one professional army.”
“A war government in Port Sudan”
While he added that the head of the Sovereignty Council and Army Commander, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, “is trying to impersonate the head of state from Port Sudan,” as he put it.
He also continued, “Burhan’s attempts to claim false legitimacy will lead to the division of Sudan,” adding: “We must not allow the formation of a war government in Port Sudan.”
“real authority”
Hemedti stressed: “If a government is formed in eastern Sudan, we will begin to establish real authority in the areas of our control.”
In addition, he added, “The Rapid Support Forces control most of Khartoum State,” noting that “the army controls eastern Sudan and some areas of the north.”
He previously said: “We can control Port Sudan today if we want.”

Thousands killed
It is noteworthy that the battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces have continued unabated since last April 15 in many areas, and have so far resulted in the killing of about 5,000 people, according to the “ACLID” organization, and the displacement of more than 4 million, whether inside Sudan or to neighboring countries.
Since the outbreak of war between the two military forces, the two sides have thrown accusations and held responsibilities, while all regional and international efforts have not succeeded so far in resolving the crisis.
It is noteworthy that the clashes broke out while negotiations were ongoing between the civilian and military components in order to reach a mechanism and timetable for integrating the Rapid Support Forces into the armed forces, forming a unified army in the country, and moving to the democratic path.
However, disputes flared up and plunged the country into a furnace of chaos and battles.
