Fidesz news agency reported that the war that broke out in Sudan ten months ago has created a devastating humanitarian crisis in the country, and that the country is on the verge of an explosion. Fidesz also reported from Khartoum that as of January 2024, more than one crore people have been displaced in the country, making it one of the world’s biggest crises. So far, about fifteen thousand people have died as part of the conflicts.

Pope Francis addressed the situation in Sudan during his homily at the Vatican on Sunday, February 18. The Pope had said at the time that he called on those involved in the war to immediately stop this war, which has serious consequences for the people and the future of the country. The Pope also asked for everyone’s prayers for the people suffering from the conflict in Sudan.

Clashes began on April 15, 2023, between Sudan’s regular army and the Rapid Action Force. But with the participation of many other sections of the country in these conflicts, the war continues to divide the country.

Drutakarmasena is leading in the war. They are also getting help from outside the country. Countries such as Central Africa, Chad, Libya, Wagner Company and businessmen of the Arab Emirates are supporting them.

Regular soldiers reportedly lost control of their weapons factory in Yarmouk. They are currently seeking help from countries like Egypt. But internal divisions and conflicts among soldiers are reducing their resilience.
