The drug control managed to arrest a number of promoters and drug users in a campaign that targeted Al-Manshiya, Kenana, Mayo, Ankoula, Obaid Khatim Street, Al-Sittin Street and Al-Nil Street within the framework of the salary campaigns carried out by the General Administration for Drug Control in cooperation with the rest of the regular forces within the joint national campaign.
According to the follow-ups of the (Police Press Office), the national anti-drug campaign at the center and state levels comes within the framework of the field work of the administration to eradicate and combat drugs, in implementation of the directives of the President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and the Minister of Interior in charge, Director General of the Police Forces, Lieutenant General Jurist Annan Hamed Mohamed Omar. The campaign resulted in the arrest of (25) suspects in possession of (119) grams of hashish, bingo, (3) tramadol tablets, (5) grams of Afghani hashish, (4) grams of heroin, and a number of military cards.
Legal measures were taken against the accused in preparation for their trial.
